A recent survey from Insperity showed 85% of workers want politics out of the workplace. We don't want a loud minority to take our focus off the import mission at Topline and therefore have a Mission First policy outlined below.
Policy Overview:
Unified Focus on Our Mission: All company efforts, discussions, and projects should be directed towards advancing Topline's mission. We are committed to leveraging our global talent pool to create innovative solutions that empower professionals around the world.
Respect for Diversity: Our strength lies in our diversity. We respect and value the varied cultural, religious, political, and personal backgrounds of our team members. Topline fosters an environment where every individual can thrive and team members won't be singled out for
Respect for Meritocracy: One of our core values at Topline is a belief in Meritocracy throughout our compensation, hiring, and promotion policies. That is reinforced with Mission First policy of avoiding contentious personal political beliefs that could harm one's ability to work well with others and advance the mission.
Apolitical Work Environment: To maintain harmony and focus within our teams, political discussions and activism unrelated to our work are disallowed in our professional setting. We believe in channeling our collective energy towards activities that directly contribute to our shared mission.
Constructive Engagement: While we strive to eliminate unrelated political discourse, we encourage constructive, mission-related conversations. We believe in candid dialogue, assuming positive intent, and supporting one another in our mission-centric goals.
Inclusion and Belonging: We actively work to create an inclusive environment where everyone, irrespective of their identity, feels welcome and can do their best work. This includes fair talent practices, sourcing diverse talent, and enabling a sense of belonging for all team members.
External Representation: Topline will not take stances on political matters unrelated to our industry or mission. Individual team members are free to have their own beliefs and engage in personal advocacy, but such activities should not be attributed to Topline or conducted on company time.
Continuous Improvement: We commit to regular reviews of our policy to ensure it aligns with our evolving mission and the needs of our workforce. This includes open dialogue about the policy's effectiveness and amendments as necessary.
Implementation:
This policy applies to all employees of Topline. The leadership team will provide guidance and resources to help staff understand and align with these guidelines. Managers are encouraged to facilitate team cohesion and address any concerns that may arise in relation to this policy.
We believe that by adopting a "Mission First" approach, we will create a more productive, focused, and harmonious work environment that enables Topline and its employees to thrive.
